Absorbable stitches are used in any operation on the hymen. These procedures are done on an outpatient basis under anesthesia for patient comfort and safety. It usually takes less than one hour of operating time.
After your hymenoplasty, we recommend that you take a day or two to rest before returning to work. Complete healing after the procedure can take six to eight weeks.
